If you want to send same email to many recipient’s with their respective name in one go. We can send it either from MS word mail merge option, Outlook mail merge option and Gmail. As you know Gmail does not support personalized email but still we can send it from Gmail with the help of google doc.
Here are some step to send personalized email from any Gmail with the help of google doc.
Step 1 Login to your Gmail account >> google contacts >> create a new group >> add all email contacts to this new group.
Step 2 Save a copy of this document in your google doc, (File>>Make a copy) type you message on the right hand side of the doc (blue area).
Before third step you should see the Mail Merge menu in the menu bar. If you don’t see, refresh you page, after several refresh if you are not able to see it, there is another option >>tools>>scripts>>manage>>import contacts.
Step 3 Click Mail Merge menu >> Import Gmail contacts >> it will ask for gmail contact group which you create earlier >> put that name into it >> ok >> all contacts will display in that doc.
Step 4 Finally click on >> Mail Merge >> Start Mail Merge.
Then you will see the ‘OK’ in the ‘Status’ column. It means you email has gone to the destination address.
